Jo passed away from an aneurysm on June 30 2023. He was 30. Before his death, he was experiencing neck pain. The death news was confirmed by friend and fellow bodybuilder Noel Deyzel via Instagram on July 1, 2023 and then by his former girlfriend Nicha.
